Lovely town with great eateries. The IGA had a variety of salads, the larger one not the small on main road that offered fresh salads. Great board walk around the water. The Tasman Holiday park was modern, good facilities, a view of the water and quiet. This was our first ever stay in one and we were impressed with the cabin and the price.

St Helen’s is the central services community for many nearby small holiday hamlets. It has good supermarkets and an excellent provedore plus restaurants and most of the service facilities a holiday maker would need. There are interesting and varied beaches in the area and plenty of boating & fishing for those who enjoy these pursuits. Plenty to like, we did not find anything to dislike.

St Helens is a pretty coastal town with a great bakery - Banjos! It is also the gateway to the Bay of Fires which is an absolutely stunning place, even had a swim in warmish - 19 degrees water st gorgeous Binalong Bay.

There are some great beaches and bayside scenery around St Helens but they are definitely a part of the Big 4 Holiday Park. It about a kilometre trek to get into the middle of town. Find some brochures at the Information Centres to advise the best places to visit.

It was great to have a whole space to ourselves, the beds were comfy and the kitchen well equipped. It was lovely to be out in the bush and hear the frogs . I would recommend this for a family as there are lots of animals and the hosts are friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

We stayed overnight, came in late and left early due to planned activities elsewhere. We travelled to Binalong Bay for an evening meal at Meresta Eatery which was great and went for a walk on the beach afterwards as the sun set. St Helens is easy to navigate around and found our accommodation easily. Plenty of general stores for supplies and necessities.
