Beautiful town, much bigger than expected and a thriving hub and close community. The town is very well looked after and cleaned, there is plenty to do for tourists. The locals are very friendly and you can tell they look after each other.
We had breakfast at the Swooping Magpie Cafe which was fantastic - food was reasonably priced & yummy and coffee was great and was thriving and busy.
We had dinner at the Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club, nice staff and Chinese food was nice - huge servings.
Roundhouse Museum, Monte Cristo doll museum, and Urban wetland were very interesting tourist spots. Enjoyed the lake and feeding the ducks.
We really enjoyed the Licorice and Chocolate factory, though through no fault of their own most of it was closed for COVID - fantastic food and coffee and gift shop, you can also pick up some delicious local foods (dressings, sauces, jams etc).
The market on Sunday morning was really nice and had quite a bit for a small town.
Plenty to do for people of any age, very tourist friendly.
