The town centre is separated by the rail line. You could catch a train and spend the night in Junee. Town is clean and tidy and easy to walk around on flat surfaces. A lot of historical buildings. Easy walk or short drive to Junee Licorice and Chocolate Factory. The Ex-Services club displays war memorabilia and appears to have been recently upgraded. Staff at the club were friendly and the restaurant serves delicious Chinese meals.

Accommodation was terrible, dirty and not at all what was expected. Both my sister any myself are senior citizens. You can imagine our surprise when we read the sign about being 30 kgs for the bunks! I didn’t take enough photos of the dirty state and disrepair of our cabin. It was not cheap either. Junee itself was just lovely . Licorice factory, Monte Christo and the Railway Museum were great👍 The doll museum was a fantastic experience that we were not expecting. Junee people were great and very welcoming. If it wasn’t for the On-site cabin at the Caravan Park we would probably stayed another day.

Beautiful town, much bigger than expected and a thriving hub and close community. The town is very well looked after and cleaned, there is plenty to do for tourists. The locals are very friendly and you can tell they look after each other. We had breakfast at the Swooping Magpie Cafe which was fantastic - food was reasonably priced & yummy and coffee was great and was thriving and busy. We had dinner at the Junee Ex-Services Memorial Club, nice staff and Chinese food was nice - huge servings. Roundhouse Museum, Monte Cristo doll museum, and Urban wetland were very interesting tourist spots. Enjoyed the lake and feeding the ducks. We really enjoyed the Licorice and Chocolate factory, though through no fault of their own most of it was closed for COVID - fantastic food and coffee and gift shop, you can also pick up some delicious local foods (dressings, sauces, jams etc). The market on Sunday morning was really nice and had quite a bit for a small town. Plenty to do for people of any age, very tourist friendly.

There was a pool view from our room, but the pool was not being used. Also, as the curtains were closed when we arrived, we didn't see the pool when we arrived. Seeing the pool might have made the room feel bigger. We ate at the Red Cow Hotel, which was pretty good, as recommended by the owner of the motel. We only stayed one night,
